Testimonials
"Overall I was really impressed with Prism's reactors. I
believe you guys have solved some of the biggest problems with reactors,
acheiving good vaccum levels and consisten stirring without teflon wear.I have
done a lot of research on may different glassware companies, and I believe
Prism currently has the best portable reactor on the market. Product
reliability and customer support are great. We have come a long way this year
and I have been very pleased with our partnership. Prism's current model is the
most flexible, robust and easy to use reactor out there."

"Working with your team was incredibly straightforward.
The glassware is very well crafted and rugged as are all the metal parts. The
motor alignment rack and pinon is extremely smooth. After more than 100 hours
of operation, no signs of wear on the bearing has been noted. The reactor has
been used down to -40ºC and up to 125ºC without incident. Given the overall
performance of reactors, their cost, and the high level of personal service
from Prism, we're extremely satisfied with the reactors and will use them
happily for years."

PILOT PLANT REACTION SYSTEMS
The Jacketed Pilot Plant Systems are supported on a mobile structure with
locking swivel casters. The framework is constructed from heavy gauge aluminum
tubing and is epoxy coated. This unique frame is a "PRISM" design. It allows
the operator to move around the reactor freely without any interference of
overhead bars and fixed motor mounts. The motor support mast allows 15" of
vertical movement and 360º rotation. The condenser and other apparatus are
supported from vertical stainless steel posts.
The jacketed vessels have a 300mm flat ground flange and a 2" beaded pipe
opening at the bottom. This openiing accepts a detachable flush mount drain
valve with a 25mm drain port. The hearting / cooling jacket and drain valve has
beaded pipe fittings to accept detachable hose barbs.
The domed lid is fitted with beaded pipe connection for more reliable and
durable connection. Beaded pipe ends are coupled together using a hi-temp 450ºF
clamp. These grease-free connections are very robust and allow misalignment
during set-up and break-down. Using beaded pipe fittings these systems can
operate under full vacuum.
The system is powered by an AC drive 1/2hp motor and controller. The digital
controller has the full range of programmability with 4-digit security pass
code, ramp time and speed control. The motor is equipped with a 5:1 speed
reducer, 83 lbs. fo torque, and a heavy duty keyless chuck. This unit comes
wired for 110 volt, single phase; other voltages and three phase are available.
A 1 1/4" diameter stir agitator assembly is included in the systems. The "Big
Bear" is the rotary feed through bearing that makes the difference. It is
contructed of 25% glass filled Teflon and houses the rotary lip seal. It is
rated for full vacuum in all stages of operation. The lower agitator blade is
also glass filled Teflon and mates with the drain valve pin to eliminate shaft
whip.
