Description
The distillation reflux liquid divider system easily mounts onto the PRG-7500 reaction platform stand. The splitter head in the distillation reflux liquid divider system can isolate the condensate and divert it into dual reservoir flask or it can reflux it back to the reaction vessel.
Borosilicate Glassware Information
Prism Research Glass makes our distillation reflux liquid divider system of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
