Description

Prism Research Glass makes all borosilicate glass 10mm Stirrer Shafts precision ground and polished. Three curved blades are fused on at 120° apart. Blades are in a retreat sweep position in a clock-wise rotation. Other designs are available upon request.

Borosilicate Glassware Information

Prism Research Glass makes our High Efficiency Coil Condenser of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from  a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
