Distillation Head, Reflux / Diverter, 45° Angle

Description

Distillation Reflux Diverter Head is angled at 45° to fit directly onto the reactor lid without the use of a sweep elbow. Distillate flows through the center chimney but the return condensate is diverted to a valve. The valve in an open position allows the fluid to return back to the system. With the valve in a closed position, the fluid flows around the valve stem and exits the system. #7 thread has a 6-7mm compression fit.

It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
