“Squat” Condenser, Quad-Coil, Detachable Hose Barbs

Description

Squat Condenser is a low profile design with maximum cooling capacity through four interior coils. Condenser diameter is 165mm with detachable hose barbs. Fits 1.0″ I.D. supply lines. See PRG-220 for other sizes barb options.

Safety Precautions:

~Condenser should always have adequate flow of coolant through coils. Coolant should not heat to boiling point inside of coils.

~Coolant control valves should be turned on and off slowly. This will prevent against water hammer.

~To prevent coils from unnecessary vibration and undo stress use ample supply of flex hosing to coolant ports.

Borosilicate Glassware Information

Prism Research Glass makes our Squat Condenser of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from  a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
