Description
Coil Adapters for Immersion Coil use a #15 internal thread for a 1/2″ compression fit. Connections are a tapered joint or beaded pipe. Other options are available upon request. Supplied with Nylon bushing and Viton o-ring.

Prism Research Glass makes our Coil Adapters for Immersion Coil of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Blend silica and boron trioxide to make borosilicate glassware. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
