Description
The Double Jacketed Coil Condenser has beaded pressure pipe connections. Beaded ends are compatible with beaded process pipe fittings. The water ports are 14mm hose barb measured at the middle serration.
Borosilicate Glassware Information
Prism Research Glass makes our Double Jacketed Coil Condenser of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
