Prism Research Glass is proud to offer the Large Scale Pilot Plant Condenser with Detachable Hose Barbs. High efficiency condensers are suitable for pre-pilot and pilot plant scale capacities. Both upper and lower connections are the same size. #15 threaded ports are used to connect polypropylene hose barbs to condenser. Barbs fit .500″ I.D. supply lines.

Borosilicate Glassware Information

Prism Research Glass makes our Large Scale Pilot Plant Condenser of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from  a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
