Description
COWIE® High Performance Shaft Guides provide an effective guide for use with GLASS and METAL Shaft Stirrers over a wide range of temperature without shedding particles from the seal whilst maintaining vacuum. The seal is made from a specially formulated PTFE-PEEK composite. This material is also used to provide a moulded-in guide ring to aid alignment of the shaft. Available with or without a moulded-in PTFE/PEEK guide ring located at the end of the taper, this provides a guide to assist alignment of the shaft.

- Virgin grade PTFE conforming to FDA and USP Class VI.
- Exceptional chemical resistance.
- Suitable for vacuum (5mmHg) and pressure (3-5psi) applications.
- Maximum recommended speeds: 500rpm (continuous), 800rpm (intermittent).
- Self releasing ring for ease of removal.
- Autoclavable (disassemble parts first).
- Replacement parts available.
The maximum recommended speeds are 500rpm continuous or 800rpm intermittent.
HP Shaft Guides have an NPT thread for direct assembly into COWIE® Reactor Lids.
PTFE used in the manufacture of COWIE® High Performance Shaft Guides is pure, virgin material, which conforms to FDA and USP Class VI requirements.

Note: PEEK has reduced chemical resistance compared to PTFE. Acids, phenols and halogen based compounds may affect PEEK.
