Description

The COWIE® PTFE Stir Bar, Tapered for a wide variety of applications but with similar action to Oval/Pivot Ring stir bars. The taper enables the stir bar to adopt an optimum stirring position.

Cylindrical – General purpose stir bar with a smooth, round profile. Suitable for a wide variety of applications.

Pivot Ring – Designed for use in vessels with curved or uneven bases. The pivot ring enables the stir bar to adopt the optimum position for a smoother stirring action with reduced friction.

Box sets include an assortment of useful sizes of each type of stir bar, supplied with or without a re-useable container.

20 x Tapered Stir Bars including a Flexible Stir Bar Retriever: Tapered – 2 each of 10x4mm, 15x5mm, 20x7mm, 25x8mm, 30x8mm, 35x8mm, 40x8mm, 50x8mm, 60x8mm. 1 each of 70x10mm, 80x10mm. Retriever – 330x10mm

• Virgin grade PTFE conforming to FDA and USP Class VI.
• Alnico V magnetic core.
• Chemical Resistance is virtually total.
• Temperature Range, -200°C to 260°C (-328°F to 500°F).
• You can consider the shelf life of the COWIE® PTFE Stir Bar, Tapered indefinite within the confines of normal use and storage conditions.
• Autoclavable.
