Description

Prism Research Glass is proud to offer the Solvent Repurification Distillation Apparatus. Head has vapor side arm that can handle packing materials like glass beads, charcoal, etc. Large capacity 45/50 cold finger provides condensing. Lower 6mm Teflon stopcocks control reflux or drainage of contents. All 24/40 tapered joints. Note: Larger repurification systems available upon request.

Teflon Information

Teflon, also known as PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), is a synthetic fluoropolymer with a wide range of applications due to its unique properties. Key specifications include high temperature resistance, excellent chemical resistance, low friction, and non-stick characteristics.

Borosilicate Glassware Information

Prism Research Glass makes our glassware of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
