Distillation Perforated Support Platform is designed to work with columns PRG-7310 and PRG-7312. Offered in 25% glass filled Teflon or 316 stainless steel.

Borosilicate Glassware Information

Prism Research Glass makes our Distillation Perforated Support Platform of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
