Description
Position the Distillation Reflux Divider Head to allow the distillate to flow through the center chimney but the return condensate is diverted to the side valve. With the valve in an open position, condensate is refluxed back to the system. In a closed position, the condensate flows around the valve stem and out of the process. Offered with standard tapered joints or beaded pipe fittings. Other fittings are available upon request. #7 thread has a 6-7mm compression fit.

Prism Research Glass makes our Distillation Reflux Divider Head of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Blend silica and boron trioxide to make borosilicate glassware. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
