Description
The Pesticide Extraction Apparatus is for distillation and extraction of pesticides and industrial chemicals contained in water samples. The apparatus requires small amounts of solvent for the distillation process. Samples may be withdrawn through a Teflon stopcock without disrupting the process. Apparatus has a modified jacketed condenser to enhance the condensation process, often times eliminating the need for the cold finger. However, cold finger may be added to the process.
Teflon Information
Teflon, also known as PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), is a synthetic fluoropolymer with a wide range of applications due to its unique properties. Key specifications include high temperature resistance, excellent chemical resistance, low friction, and non-stick characteristics.
Borosilicate Glassware Information

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
