Description

Large Volume Gas Scrubbing / Washing Bottle have large volumes for gas dispersion, from 1 liter to 45 liter. The cylindrical fit is 25mm o.d. x 75mm long, coarse porosity, 40/60 micron. Bottle is equipped with a 45/50 inner O-Ring joint and supplied with a Viton O-Ring (128 Size) the inlet / outlet arms are a heavy wall tubing with sandblasted ends for use with a compression fitting or tube slip fit. Medium (10/15 micron) and extra-coarse (170/200 micron) frits are available upon request. Prism Research Glass sells a Complete Set consisting of a fritted insert and bottle. Bottles and inserts are also offered individually.

Borosilicate Glassware Information

Prism Research Glass makes our Large Volume Gas Washing Bottle of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from  a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
