Description
Greenberg-Smith Impinger for determination of dust concentration in air or other gases. “Grease Free Impinger” joints have O-Ring groove and centerless ground. 45/50 tapered joint connection between top and bottle. Both ball and tapered joints are interchangeable with non O-Ring apparatus. Standard bottle volume is 500ml. Other volume sizes are available – order separately from top. Supplied with both a Silicone and a Teflon coated Viton O-Ring.

Borosilicate Glassware Information

It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
