Description
Modified Impinger for determination of dust concentration in air or other gases. 45/50 tapered joint connection between top and bottle. Standard bottle volume is 500ml. Other volume sizes are available – order separately from top. For O-Ring style see PRG-5750.
Borosilicate Glassware Information
Prism Research Glass makes our glassware of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
