Micro-Filtration Apparatus, 90mm, Removable Frit

Description

Micro-Filtration Apparatus for larger volume samples or samples with heavy particulate concentrations. The 90mm filter surface provides a more efficient filtration up to four times faster and has less chance of clogging than the 47mm filters. The frits are removable and are available in glass or PTFE. Used for general filtration. The fritted glass support disc can be replaced or exchanged. If it becomes clogged or if sample to sample cross contamination is a concern. Supplied with a coarse glass frit for filter support, glass support base, 1 liter graduated funnel, anodized aluminum clamp and a #8 stopper.

It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
