Prism Research Glass is proud to offer the MM5 Rise-less System. For semi-volatile organic sampling. Horizontal style. Requires no riser box with the sample case; the MM5 condenser is horizontal; XAD Trap is vertical; Impinger body is shorter and larger in diameter. Requires a special adapter for filter to condenser connection. SVL silicone sealing rings provide a grease-free seal. Teflon SVL Sealing rings may be purchased separately. Supplied with complete Method Five PRG-5732 without Double “L”.

Teflon Information

Teflon, also known as PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), is a synthetic fluoropolymer with a wide range of applications due to its unique properties. Key specifications include high temperature resistance, excellent chemical resistance, low friction, and non-stick characteristics.

Borosilicate Glassware Information

Prism Research Glass makes our glassware of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
