Caframo Lab Solutions®, PTFE Anchor Paddle, Model CLS-A183
SKU: CLS-PTFE-A183
Price Range$407.68
Description
Prism Research Glass is proud to offer the Caframo PTFE Anchor Paddle. A tangential flow PTFE impeller for low speed, higher viscosity mixing. The 80 mm (3 ⅛”) blade is attached to an 8 mm (5/16”) diameter PTFE-coated shaft, designed for use in round bottom vessels and reaction flasks. The stainless steel core of the shaft provides stability. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) can be used under the most adverse conditions. This high performance coating is insoluble, non-contaminating and has exceptional thermal resistance. It is easy to clean, does not scratch other surfaces and is unbreakable.

Teflon Information
Teflon, also known as PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), is a synthetic fluoropolymer with a wide range of applications due to its unique properties. Key specifications include high temperature resistance, excellent chemical resistance, low friction, and non-stick characteristics.
Borosilicate Glassware Information
Prism Research Glass makes our glassware of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
