Description

Three Port Open Drain Flask has a Duran O-Ring style flange top and 45/50 tapered side ports. Top rim of joints have a tooled beaded pipe connection, dual purpose joint. The drain port is extended to fit through a heat mantle. Three style connections are available to suit your needs.

Borosilicate Glassware Information

Prism Research Glass makes our Three Port Open Drain Flask of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. A blend of silica and boron trioxide make up borosilicate glassware. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
