Description
Cylindrical Jacketed Reaction Vessel with Baffles has a Duran style O-Ring flange. Seal flanges to the Cylindrical Jacketed Reaction Vessel with Baffles with an O-Ring or grease. Prism Research Glass offers the circulatory jacket with detachable hose barbs. We supply the internal threaded joints with Nylon bushings and Polypropylene barbs. 1.0″ beaded pipe connections are sold separately. See PRG-8022-03 for coupling and PRG-8030 for port selection. The Four Morton indents achieve increased stirring performance.
Borosilicate Glassware Information
Prism Research Glass makes our Cylindrical Jacketed Reaction Vessel with Baffles of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
