Description
Half Jacket Reaction Vessel with Drain Valve has a Duran style O-Ring flange. Flanges can either be sealed with an O-Ring or grease. Circulatory jacket is offered with detachable hose barbs. Internal threaded ports are supplied with Nylon bushings and Polypropylene barbs. For clamps see PRG-188 and O-Rings see PRG-187. Drain valve 0-12mm seats flush to interior radius bottom.

Prism Research Glass makes our Half Jacket Reaction Vessel with Drain Valve of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. A blend of silica and boron trioxide make up borosilicate glassware. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
