Description
Jacketed Reaction Vessel with Built-in Drain Valve is for heating and cooling capabilities. The vessels have a 300mm I.D. flat ground flange and hard fused circulatory jacket – no Silicone seals. Jacket ports are a KF-25 ball connection. The drain valve seats flush to vessel interior and has a DN-50 ball discharge port. Temperature range is -40°C to 180°C with a maximum thermal change of 90°C. Maximum temperature for the 100 liter is 140°C. Rated for full vacuum and normal working pressures to 7 psi.

Prism Research Glass makes our Jacketed Reaction Vessel with Built-in Drain Valve of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. A blend of silica and boron trioxide make up borosilicate glassware. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
