Description
Cylindrical Reaction Vessel with Baffles has a flange tooled flat with an O-Ring groove and finely ground to prevent leaks. Flanges can either be sealed to the Cylindrical Reaction Vessel with Baffles with an O-Ring or grease. Four Morton indents are added for improved mixing. Borosilicate Glassware Information
Prism Research Glass makes our Cylindrical Reaction Vessel with Baffles of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
