Description
Jacketed Spinner Flask is constructed from a heavy wall borosilicate material and are available in 100ml to 36,000ml. The center thread assembly is an enclosed system in which the stir shaft rotates in the bearing located in the cap. This enclosed system decreases the risk of contaminated exterior drive shafts. The threaded side arms provide easy access for sampling or loading. Prism Research Glass can add additional side arms for thermo-couple, probes, or access ports upon your request. Unit is completely autoclavable.
We size the water jacket precisely to the flask. Prism Research Glass positions hose connections to allow optimal circulation of fluid. Center cap assembly, also has the all enclosed stir system to reduce the risk of contaminated outside drive shafts. Prism Research Glass can add additional side arms for thermo-couple, probes, or access ports upon your request.
Borosilicate Glassware Information
Prism Research Glass makes our glassware of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.
Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
