Description

All borosilicate glass Stirrer Bearing has 19mm I.D. precision ground and polished finish. Used only with PRG-6210 shafts with ground finish (not polished). Circulatory jacket reduces frictional wear in extended operations. Lubrication is still required between the shaft and bearing I.D.

Borosilicate Glassware Information

Prism Research Glass makes our High Efficiency Coil Condenser of Borosilicate Glassware often referred to as Pyrex. Borosilicate glassware is made from  a blend of silica and boron trioxide. It is the standard for laboratory use because of its chemical resistance to various chemicals. This resistance makes it suitable for diverse laboratory applications. It is highly resistant to chemical attack by most substances, including water, acids, and organic solvents.

Borosilicate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which means it can withstand rapid temperature changes. It can typically handle temperature ranges between -80°C (-112°F) and 500°C (930°F) without cracking and typically has a melting point of around 1650°C (3000°F).
