Prism Research Glass is proud to offer the J-KEM Scientific, Inc. Thermocouple Adapter. Use the J-KEM Scientific, Inc. Thermocouple Adapter Connects large (OST) and small (SMP) thermocouple plugs. Since its origin in 1987, J-KEM Scientific, Inc. has established itself as the leader in temperature and vacuum control equipment. The key to J-KEM’s success is understanding the requirements of researchers and manufacturing products that surpass their needs.

Choose between:

OST male to SMP female

SMP male to OST female

Probes are color coded! On an existing controller, the thermocouple type is indicated by the color of the thermocouple receptacle on the front.

If the receptacle is BLUE you must order a type T thermocouple.
If the receptacle is YELLOW you must order a type K thermocouple.
If the receptacle is BLACK you must order a type J thermocouple.
If the receptacle is WHITE you must order a type Pt/100 thermocouple.

Note: To read temperatures accurately, the type of the thermocouple must match the controller’s type. On a new controller, the type is the letter immediately following the model number: 210-K-S.
